My Journey

Hi, I’m Dina and I’m originally from Greece. I have two boys, 8 and 5 years old, married to a Hungarian and living in Switzerland for the past 13 years.

The arrival of each of my boys has brought a massive shift for me. With my eldest I became a mother for the first time, and perhaps like you, I found the transition not quite what I was expecting. I was expecting to feel an immediate rush of love upon seeing my baby for the first time. I was expecting mother nature to kick in and nurse with ease. I was expecting to feel happy and fulfilled.

But I found it hard to bond with my baby. I struggled with breastfeeding. I missed my old life and my confident self. I was overwhelmed and utterly exhausted and could not find joy in my new life. But what scared me the most was a profound feeling of hopelessness, like it was going to feel like this for ever.

With my second boy, there was a different kind of shift. A shift in my notion of time and how I want to spend it. I realized that I was stuck in an unfulfilling job. I knew that I wanted to work, but I wanted my work to be meaningful.

I realized that despite my background in psychology and despite having read so much during my pregnancy (about everything else!), I never prepared for how this transition would feel. When I started to look for more information,  most resources tend to focus on therapy and medication to address Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, which is wonderful, but a lot of parents find themselves in a grey area. For example, they are not depressed but feel utterly overwhelmed. They struggle to process the gap between their expectations and reality, they don't know if what they experience is normal, and so above all they need validation, preventive and goal-oriented support, a deeper understanding of what this transition means for them, and where to start from to feel like themselves again.

The Integral® Coaching methodology is perfect for this! And so I found my meaningful vocation and in 2019,

I went back to school to make it happen!

Parenthood is such a profound journey that challenges us to go deeper into ourselves and re-learn who we are and how we want to show up, in a completely new level. In my journey, both these shifts have guided me to where I am today.

I’d be honored to support you in your journey to grow into the parent and the person you are meant to be.

Prior to coaching I worked for multinational companies and have 18 years of combined experience in the FMCG and hospitality industries.

Moving to Switzerland alone, without speaking French, starting from scratch has been an invaluable experience. I also know what it feels like to work and raise a family in another country.

I deliver coaching in English, French and Greek. I am available for face-to-face coaching in the area between Lausanne and Geneva in Switzerland. Online coaching is possible for anywhere around the globe!

I love public speaking and have been a Toastmasters member since 2012! I find that practicing public speaking is a medicine for self-limiting beliefs.

I am a huge Harry Potter fan - funny thing that my office is underneath the stairs of our apartment!
